$60 | Virtual Workshop
Monday, October 26, 2026
12:00 PM ET
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve some of the most significant biological changes across the reproductive lifespan. For some patients, these transitions can contribute to new or worsening mood and anxiety symptoms, while also complicating the clinical picture for therapists trying to understand what is driving a patient's distress.
This virtual workshop provides a practical, clinically relevant overview of the biological and neurohormonal changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum and how they can affect mental health.
Designed for therapists and other non-prescribers, this session will help participants:
Understand key biological changes during pregnancy and postpartum that can influence mental health
Recognize common patterns of mood and anxiety symptoms during the perinatal period
Better distinguish biologically influenced symptoms from other psychiatric and psychosocial presentations
Identify common diagnostic pitfalls in pregnancy and postpartum
Recognize when psychiatric, obstetric, or other medical collaboration may be appropriate
Integrate an understanding of reproductive biology into psychotherapy and clinical formulation
This is not a lecture on endocrinology. The goal is to provide a clinically grounded framework for understanding why pregnancy and postpartum can create periods of increased psychiatric vulnerability and how that understanding can inform your therapeutic approach.
Registration: $60
This workshop is also available as part of the complete three-part Reproductive Mental Health Across the Lifespan series for $155.
Virtual access information will be sent to registered participants by email prior to the workshop.
